BUGS 2019 Noosa Weekend
Once again Brian Jessett organised and managed what can only be described as glorious weekend for cyclists . More than 50 members and partners attended. The weather, whilst cold in the morning was ideal for all levels of cyclists. The dinner which was held at the Golf club was once again a huge success with outstanding tucker…. and laughs all round.
Brian’s selection of a variety of cycle routes for different levels was again enjoyed by all who road.

BUGS June 2019 Biggenden Weekend
On this occasion Colin took the lead in organising and managing this very successful cycling event for the BUGS members. His promises of “flat” rides did not materialise. His interpretation of “Undulating slopes” can only be described as “ steep hills”.
Whilst, we have all learnt to appreciate Colins organisation skills we however have a question mark over his description of cycle routes . Great participation of 20 riders on Saturday and 12 more riders on Sunday with outstanding weather and cycling camaraderie along the way. The regular luncheon and dinner at the Grand hotel was enjoyed by all riders and partners.
Christmas in July 2109 ESK Mountain/road bike event
The star of the show, Maryann Boyd who took it upon herself to organise and manage an event that lasted for 5 days. This was very well supported by more than 20 riders on both Road bikes and Mountain Bikes. The various rail trails selected by Maryanne were all safe and relatively easy to
ride. Those on road bikes created their own routes clocking up at least 50kms every day.
The feast that was provided by the group members on the Wednesday evening was fit for kings. Our master of ceremonies Peter and Helen Whitby provided us with the entertainment for the evening. Weather was freezing in the early mornings but thankfully most rides only commenced after 9.00am. It was indeed a very memorable and exciting week for all attending.
