Who Can Become A BUG?
Fraser Coast BUG membership is open to all and the application process is very simple.
Our members vary in age, in their fitness levels, their experience and in the types of bicycles they ride. That’s why there is a choice of 6 ride groups that you can try! Members also enjoy the social side of riding.
We ask that after riding with the club a few times, that you consider becoming a member. The annual subscription is $20 per member and this subscription covers the financial year from July 1 to June 30. An adjustment can be made for new members who join in the last quarter of the year. There are no further fees for weekly rides. Membership applications are proposed at each monthly meeting.
Email is used extensively to communicate within the club, so it is important that email addresses are kept up to date.
Members are encouraged to join Bicycle Queensland (BQ) because of the support the state body provides for BUG groups within Queensland. By taking out BQ membership, members can insure to cover themselves for personal accident, injury to a third party and damage to third party property.
The Club has General Liability insurance cover to the extent of $10,000,000 however, membership of Fraser Coast BUGs does not include individual, personal or property insurance of any kind. To find out more about this type of insurance, go to www.bq.org.au
