On 26 August 2023, 11km of FCBUG access licenced section of the rail corridor will be officially opened at Takura Trailhead.  Google Map

This lengthy section, from Takura and almost to Colton, has been established by volunteers with grant funding from Fraser Coast Regional Council and Department Transport & Main Roads.  Surrounded by forest and wallum ecology, the Trail is shaded and features unique native plants and birdlife. Six bridges have been preserved, with ramps constructed around them, so Trail users can appreciate the engineering skills. Spectacular native flora displays will be on show too.

All are welcome to come and celebrate the revitalisation of this community asset.
